The Candlelight Homecare business was founded in 1988 in Butleigh, Somerset, and is now one of the largest independent family-owned domiciliary care providers in the south of England.
We are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection, and accredited by the UK Care Home Association and the Social Care Association.
Our purpose is to provide care to individuals to enable them to remain at home. We provide anything from 30 minute checks right through to 24 hour constant care and 24 hour live-in carers. We tailor-make packages to suit our clients' needs and offer the type of care that could be provided by a 'caring relative'.
We have a broad mix of clients, from the youngest right through to the most elderly, who have all types of illnesses and disabilities. We cater for clients funded by Social Services and for clients who are self-funding.

Our staff are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful - always aiming to exceed clients' expectations.
We employ fully-trained domiciliary care professionals to help support people with disability or illness to become or remain independent for as long as possible.
We also use the services of self-employed live-in carers, who are vetted and introduced to clients by Candlelight.
