"I really couldn't be without them. It is lovely to have a carer, they do help you".

What is Live-In Care?

Many people are unsure exactly what live-in care is, in what circumstances to consider it and what having a live-in carer entails, but live-in care can be a perfect solution in a lot of situations.

Live-in Care is when somebody comes to live with you in your own home to take care of your everyday needs on a one-to-one basis.

It allows you, or your loved one, to remain at home with everything familiar, including pets. It avoids the distress and confusion of moving to an unfamiliar environment and any care is tailored to individual needs and requirements.

Whilst the cost of live-in care is comparable to that of many residential care homes, the one-to-one level of care supplied by a live-in carer is something that a residential home, however good, simply cannot match.

Live-in care is a perfect solution for families as well. They have the freedom to visit whenever they wish and can be as involved as they choose to be. If there are times when they can't visit or are away on holiday, they can relax in the knowledge that their loved one is in safe hands and being well cared for.

Your Responsibilities to the Carer
You are responsible for paying your carer, providing them with a bedroom of their own and the cost of their meals.
