How We Work

If you would like some information on our homecare or domiciliary service specifically for you or a relative then please contact us.

At an early stage a branch manager or supervisor would visit you to make an assessment and agree with you what care is to be provided. This is written up as a Care Plan and is the basic agreement as to what is to be done.

As far as possible we will adhere to an agreed time each day and with a small number of carers who will become known to you. Occasionally we may have to change the time and or carer in the event of sickness or holiday of your regular carer. However if possible we would let you know in advance.

All our staff are checked and trained. They will be in uniform (unless you specifically request that they are not-during a social outing for example) and will carry an ID card with photograph.
If you are not able to answer the door to them then we would probably recommend a key safe or code.

Our carers are supervised periodically whilst they are at work and your service package will be reviewed four times a year or more frequently if you wish or circumstance change.
If you are going away service can be temporarily suspended as long as we are given notice.

For 24 hour care after an assessment made by our manager or her deputy a carer would come and stay in your home to carry out jobs illustrated in our section
OUR SERVICES.

A carer would normally have 2.5 hours per day away from your premises and would normally be "on call" for thirteen hours per day but other arrangements can be made.
Assignments are normally for a minimum of a week. After one or two weeks normally the carer would hand over to another so you can be assured of continuity of care. Longer assignments with one carer can be arranged but it is usually beneficial to both parties to have a change.
