"I really couldn't be without them. It is lovely to have a carer, they do help you".

Life Book

Most people enjoy talking about the past and for people with dementia or those who have suffered memory loss as the result of a stroke, this may prove to be the most active topic of conversation. Often these conditions cause poor short-term memories but people can often access their long term memory.

A Life Book (also known as a Reminiscence Book) is a collection of photographs or other items from someones past, put together in a book to stimulate memories and conversation.  Our care staff can help families to put one together.
