"I really couldn't be without them. It is lovely to have a carer, they do help you".

Induction Training

All our care staff go through a mandatory Induction Course before they are allowed to start work with clients. This not only includes two days in the classroom but also up to three days of shadow training, where they go out in the community with an experienced care and support worker.

The Induction Course gives our care staff a thorough grounding in the work that they will be doing and a chance to go out and see for themselves how the work is carried out.

At the end of the course they will receive a Skills for Care Induction Pack which helps underpin and extend their knowledge.  In some areas there are also Carer Mentors to support them through their first three months and monitor their progress.
